National Holidays deal….

CSSC Newcastle have negotiated a deal with National Holidays where on selected trips you can ring National Holidays and receive a discount on their already reduced, last minute, bargain prices simply by quoting your CSSC number. However, the only way to obtain details of this benefit is to get your name on our e-mail distribution list.

As well as the last minute National Holiday discount deals, CSSC has negotiated a discount deal on the regular trips they advertise in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle and Sunderland Echo on Thursday evenings and other weekdays as long as the booking procedure is followed.

Please note we have a £500 per month budget to cover National Holidays last minute bookings, regular adverts and brochure price. Once the budget has been used in any one month, subsidies will only be available from the start of the following month.

booking procedure:

  1. Call National Holidays (Tel 0191 2587000) – please be patient, as they are a busy team and often take a while to answer
  2. Ask for Rachel – who handles all CSSC bookings. Quote booking ref ‘1 CSSC’ and your CSSC membership number
  3. Tell Rachel which of the Bargain Breaks, or Evening Chronicle/Sunderland Echo advertised breaks you are interested in and proceed with booking
  4. Tell Rachel the CSSC numbers and full names of all members in your party you wish to claim the additional CSSC Newcastle Area subsidy for (which will subsequently be passed to CSSC Newcastle Area for verification).
    · Under no circumstances should you ask for a CSSC discount unless you have all membership numbers to hand
    · (if you do not know the number of any member in your party, you should call CSSC Headquarters on 01494 888415).
    · Please do not confuse CSSC with HASSRA/RCSL/NESLC, as members of HASSRA/RCSL/NESLC are NOT eligible for the additional discount unless they are CSSC members.
    · Children will only be entitled to the CSSC members discount price if they are Associate members. For more information about child fares - see next page.
  5. All payments should be made direct to National Holidays. Rachel will advise payment arrangements
  6. Travel Insurance is compulsory for overseas trips. You may either make your own arrangements or purchase insurance from National Holidays.
  7. The following single room supplements apply for single travellers. The amount payable depends on the duration of the break:
    2 days = £8;
    3 days = £12;
    4 days = £16;
    5 days = £20;
    6 - 9 days = £35;
    10 days = £40
    12 days + = £50

Any CSSC member discounts claimed which are found to be false will lead to the trip being cancelled or additional payments being required.

Note

Children are welcome on all holidays and short breaks unless specifically designated "adult only" in the current brochure. A reduction of 20% on the advertised brochure price is available to all children age 2-12 years inclusive when travelling with at least two full paying adults.

Special additional child reductions may be available on certain holidays.

Infants aged below 2 years may travel free of charge but cannot be guaranteed an individual coach seat and separate arrangements may be required for the provision of a cot, please ask at the time of booking.

European legislation advises that when travelling in Europe all children/infants should have an individual seat on the coach available to them, a nominal charge will therefore be applicable for a reserved coach seat for any infant travelling on any continental break.
Children cannot travel on the front seats of the coach.

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS CARRY A SUPPLEMENT PER PERSON
